"Authentic designs for the retro and modern home"

70s House Manchester is the brain child of Estelle Bilson and specialises in recreating the era that spawned everything from Disco, to Biba, glam rock and Studio 54. Taking influence from mid-century design, more than a dash of 70’s funk and the love of fun, bold, graphic style.

Estelle likes to work with lovely people including a creative team of individuals, from specialist Graphic Designers to her suppliers, who not only are all based in the UK, but in the same county of Lancashire, supporting the skills, talents and employment of local people in the North West of England.

70’s House Manchester was founded in 2019 as a Location Home when Estelle decided to share her love of the era on social media, constant requests to advise people where she sourced her vintage pieces lead to a light bulb moment when she realised it was possible to launch her own range of wall coverings, fabrics and accessories.

Here at the heart of 70s House Manchester you’ll find products inspired by the nostalgia for the 60s and 70s. Designs which work equally individually or together to create a fun, bold and playful interior scheme for the retro and modern home.  We pride ourselves on delivering a collection of luxury wallpapers, fabrics and home accessories, with love, and integrity.

Estelle, the daughter of an Antiques Dealer has bought and sold vintage for over 25 years. Attending auctions with her Father from the age of 4, she started collecting at the tender age of 13.

Inspired by the tales of her parents life in London in the swinging 60s and 70s she started to recreate retro interiors in her bedroom at home; buying from jumble sales, charity shops and car boots. This love of hunting for unique interior pieces has never left her and she continues to source items for the home, and offers a curated selection of vintage pieces through the boutique.

Her expertise in her field led her to be selected in 2020 to join the esteemed panel of dealers on the popular BBC1 show 'The Bidding Room', produced by Ricochet for Warner Brothers and hosted by national treasure, Nigel Havers.

With a successful 20 year career in Technical Design and Product Development for some of the UK’s most luxurious fashion brands and a qualification in Interior Design, Estelle was perfectly poised to be able to use her skills to her advantage. Everything has been passionately and carefully designed, using only the best UK manufacturing suppliers.

70s House Manchester is a unique, luxury British interiors brand, which prides itself on looking back to move forward.  The location house continues to develop and influence the brand.
